Analysis of the Effectiveness of Using the Webinar Medium in Teacher Development

Abstract


The implementation of education in big cities has been fully implemented online, including the quality development of educators (teachers). The online development/training medium which was frequently used during the Covid-19 Pandemic was through web seminars (webinars). This study proposes to analyze the effectiveness of webinars as a medium concerning teacher quality development. The methodology used is a blended of quantitative and descriptive analytics methods with the main subjects of research are teachers in the city of Makassar and its surroundings and several regions in Indonesia. Data analyzed using multiple linear regression and interpreted through tables and descriptions, interview data represented through descriptions, and combined by secondary data from relevant research. The results of this study indicate the tools abilities and the effectiveness of implementing webinars were affected in developing teacher competence. In this pandemic era, teacher development using the webinar medium is more effective.
