Abstract

This paper is motivated by the rise of hoaxes that occur in the simultaneous election which will be held on April 17, 2019, by using a literature study the authors want to find out the pathology or disease that is present in the simultaneous election in Indonesia OnÂ April 17, 2019 and what are the solutions to solving these pathological problems . The pathology of democracy that occurs in Indonesia includes: Hoax, Money Politics, Mutual rules of the game, High Cost of Democracy, Demagogues, Corruption, Collection and Nepotise, Political oligarchy, Character Narcissism, Black Champagne. While the strategies carried out to minimize, among others: E-Voting, Avoid political dowry by doing Fit and Proper Test for Legislative Candidates or other prospective public leaders, and the public is given political education that makes maturity in democracy.
