Abstract

Indonesia:

Public Policy plays a vital crucial role in promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities in Indonesia. Although According to Law Number 8/2016 concerning People with Disabilities has been implemented, there are still challenges such as a lack of public awareness, inadequate accessibility of public facilities, and resource limitations. Several alternative policy approaches can help address these issues, such as inclusivity in the education sector, increasing employment quotas, providing specialized training, and involving people with disabilities in the policy-making process, which has the potential to raise awareness among the government and the public about the rights of people with disabilities that need to be fulfilled. Accurate data collection and in-depth research on people with disabilities should be a focus to formulate more effective policies. Through collaborative policies involving the government, civil society, and the private sector, an inclusive society for people with disabilities can be achieved.
