CHANGES IN EMPLOYEE ARCHIVES GOVERNANCE WITH DIGITALIZATION TO IMPROVE ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE IN THE YOUTH AND SPORTS DEPARTMENT OF BANGKALAN REGENCY

Abstract

As a record of information, archives act as memories, evidence tools, the basis for planning and decision making, barometers of an organization's activities, and information material for other scientific activities. One of the ways the Bangkalan Regency Youth and Sports Office is to improve organizational performance is to make changes in the Management of Personnel Archives with Digitization. However, in the implementation of the change, there are several obstacles.

The purpose of this study is to determine Organizational Performance Improvement, to find out the obstacles and ways or efforts to overcome obstacles using digitalization in the Management of Civil Service Archives at the Youth and Sports Office of Bangkalan Regency. This research design uses qualitative methods through interviews, observation, and documentation. Based on the results of research conducted, it is shown that through documenting personnel archives with digitization, it can be achieved to improve the performance of the administration of appropriate and quickly searchable personnel documents when needed and the segregation of types of personnel documents to simplify and speed up the scanning and storage process into storage folders.
