Wisata Halal Untuk Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan
Abstract
This study aims to explain halal tourism has great potential to realize sustainable development goals. This research uses qualitative methods and the concept of sustainable development. The results of this study show halal tourism can be an alternative in implementing sustainable development goals. Because halal tourism is a new trend in the world of tourism, its growth has increased very positively every year. In 2014 the number of Muslim travelers reached 108 million tourists reach USD 145 Billion, and projections in 2026 to reach USD 300 Billion. This tourism sector can create jobs, promote local culture and products, can improve the local economy, increase environmental awareness, and also involve local communities in its implementation. This is in accordance with the objectives of sustainable development.
